Collection of Personal and Non-Personal Information
When visiting the PrivacyGuard Web site, in order to join, authenticate your identity and access your credit report from credit bureau databases, register to use certain services, respond to a survey or update your information, you may be asked to provide certain personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") about yourself, such as your name, e-mail address, physical address, telephone number, date of birth, mother's maiden name, Social Security number or credit card number. You may review and revise any Personal Information we have about you by sending a request to firstname.lastname@example.org or calling at 1-800-374-8273.
We may also request non-personally identifiable information ("Demographic Information"), such as annual income, buying preferences, or your age, though this information is optional.
We use Personal Information to perform business functions, such as servicing our members and other customers, paying claims and benefit amounts, developing new products and services, ensuring that you are the only person that can access your credit report, and fulfilling requests for credit reports. Trilegiant may also use this information to notify consumers about new products or services and special promotions offered by Trilegiant or any of its affiliates.
We may use Demographic Information to improve and enhance your experience on the Trilegiant Web sites. For example, we may use certain preferences you provide to tailor your experience at our site, such as showing you content and sending you notices concerning merchandise and services that may interest you. We may also share this information with others, such as advertisers interested in advertising on the Trilegiant Web sites, in aggregate, anonymous form, which means that the shared information will not contain nor be linked to any Personal Information about you or any other person.

Sharing of Personal Information with Affiliates
We may share Personal Information relating to your transactions with us or our experience with you, with our affiliates (including those existing currently or in the future). Beginning October 1, 2008, we will not share any Personal Information with our affiliates for purposes of marketing their products and services unless we are otherwise permitted to do so by law.
Sharing of Personal Information with Unaffiliated Parties
We may also share Personal Information with (x) unaffiliated third parties, including marketing partners, printers, billing agents, insurance companies, administrators and service providers, that assist us in performing our business functions and marketing our products, and as otherwise permitted or required by law, and (y) unaffiliated financial institutions under joint marketing agreements with us; in any such case, we will require such third parties to maintain the confidentiality of Personal Information disclosed to them.

Maintaining the Security of Your Information
Securing your personal and non-personal information is very important to us. We have implemented security procedures which use reasonable measures to ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of Personal Information in our possession and guard against unauthorized access or use. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to safeguard Personal Information. However, due to the inherent open nature of the Internet, we can not guarantee that communications between you and Trilegiant, and Trilegiant and you, will be free from unauthorized access by third parties, such as hackers

In addition to employing these high-security measures, we have undergone a rigorous certification process for Cybertrust Corporation's Web Certification program. This process examined in great detail every aspect of our security precautions, and included an on-site inspection of our facility for physical security and policy, plus a remote assessment of our potential vulnerabilities to web-based attacks. Cybertrust's certification is a continuous process, repeated and renewed annually, so that you know our security measures are top notch and effective.
Your California Privacy Rights
Under California Law, California residents have the right to request in writing from businesses with whom they have an established business relationship, (1) a list of the categories of personal information, such as name, address, e-mail address, and the type of services provided to the customer, that a business has disclosed to third parties (including affiliates that are separate legal entities) during the immediately preceding calendar year for the third parties' direct marketing purposes, and (2) the names and addresses of all such third parties. We will respond to such written requests within 30 days following receipt at the e-mail or mailing address stated above. If we receive your request at a different e-mail or mailing address, we will respond within a reasonable period of time, but not to exceed 150 days from the date received. Please note that we are only required to respond to each customer once per calendar year.
At times, some of our advertisers or their ad serving and tracking providers may set cookies when you select their ad banner and some of our content providers or partners may also set cookies when you visit those portions of our site over which they have control. We reserve the right to supplement the cookie data which we collect from you with information collected by cookies set by third parties in order to understand how you use the Internet and what products are of interest to you. The information that we receive from these third parties is only aggregate, non-personally identifiable information.
Internet Protocol (IP) Address
We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site. Your IP address may also be used to help identify you for the duration of a session and to gather broad demographic information. Your IP address will never be linked to any Personal Information unless you are in the process of making a purchase, in which case the link between this information will terminate upon your final purchase.
As you use the Internet, a trail of electronic information is left at each Web site you visit. This information, which is sometimes referred to as "clickstream data," can be collected and stored by a Web site's server. Clickstream data can tell us the type of computer and browsing software you use, the address of the Web site from which you linked to the PrivacyGuard Web site, and, in some instances, your e-mail address. We may use clickstream data to determine how much time visitors spend on each page of our site, how visitors navigate throughout the site and how we may tailor our Web pages to better meet the needs of visitors. This information will only be used to improve the Trilegiant Web sites. Any collection or use of clickstream data will be anonymous and aggregate, and will not contain any personal information.

By providing any Personal Information to the PrivacyGuard Web site, you fully understand and unambiguously consent to the collection and processing of such information in the United States.

Treatment of Information of Former Members and Customers
Special Notice for Vermont Residents
If you are a resident of Vermont, we will not share your Personal Information with unaffiliated third parties except as permitted by law. We may share your name, contact information, and information about your transactions with us and our experience with you with unaffiliated financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. We may also share your Personal Information with your consent.
Methods for Opting Out of Sharing Personal Information

1 Your CreditXpert® Scores™ are provided by CreditXpert Inc. Although these scores are not used by lenders to evaluate your credit, they are intended to reflect common credit scoring practices and are designed to help you understand your credit. Your scores are based on information from the files at the three major credit reporting agencies. Your scores may not be identical or similar to scores you receive directly from those agencies or from other sources.
2 Daily monitoring will notify you of any new inquiries, certain derogatory information, accounts, public records, or change of address that have been added to your credit reports as reported by any of the three major credit reporting agencies. If no information has been added or changed, then you will receive a monthly notification stating that no information has changed within your credit file.
